The second GMADA phase of Eco City Township, with a 289-plot residential scheme in Mullanpur.
Eco City-2 is the second phase of Eco City Township in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh. GMADA invited applications for 289 residential plots under the original Eco City-2 scheme, and reports at the time of its 2020–21 launch put the allotment rate at ₹25,000 per sq. yd.
Eco City-2 is often confused with the later Eco City-2 Extension proposal. They are different schemes, with different sizes, rates and status. This page covers the original Eco City-2; the Eco City-2 Extension page covers the newer 96-acre proposal.
The area and size figures vary between sources, which usually means they describe different boundaries or inventory categories. Use the GMADA scheme brochure as the final word.
No fresh application window should be assumed. The original Eco City-2 round took place several years ago, and an old notice is not evidence of a current scheme. If someone offers you an "Eco City-2 booking", ask for the current GMADA notice, application dates and payment schedule, and check them on GMADA's own website.
Today, buyers in Eco City-2 mainly look at transfers of allotted plots. The same document checks as Eco City-1 apply; see the buying checklist.
The 2020–21 allotment rate is a historical scheme price. It helps you understand what original allottees paid, but it is not a resale benchmark. At that rate a 300 sq. yd. plot would have cost ₹75 lakh before other charges. Resale asks in New Chandigarh can be very different, depending on the pocket and development around it. Compare with the current price page and our EMI and payment guide.
Eco City-2 extends the plotted fabric of New Chandigarh next to Eco City-1, using the same planning approach: residential pockets, a road grid, parks and green buffers, and commercial sites. The wider plan includes a Medicity health zone and an Education City knowledge zone. Read the master plan page for the full picture.
Eco City-2 can suit buyers who want a slightly newer pocket than Eco City-1 and are comfortable with a transfer purchase. Check how complete the roads, water, sewerage and power are at the exact plot, because development across phases is not uniform.
Information on this page is indicative and based on publicly available sources and project material at the time of writing. Prices, timelines and specifications are subject to change. Please verify the plot, phase and dues against GMADA records, check Punjab RERA where applicable, and have documents reviewed by an independent lawyer before paying.

Reports at the 2020–21 launch put the allotment rate at ₹25,000 per sq. yd. That is a historical scheme rate, not a current resale price.
No. Eco City-2 is the original 289-plot scheme. Eco City-2 Extension is a separate 96-acre proposal at Hoshiarpur village whose launch was put on hold in October 2026.
Do not assume an open window. Only a fresh official GMADA notice with dates and a payment schedule would confirm a live scheme.
Project websites advertise plots from 100 sq. yd. up to 2,000 sq. yd. Confirm the exact sizes against the GMADA scheme brochure.
