Sizes, sector references and allotment rules for residential plots in Eco City Township.
Residential plots are the core of Eco City Township. GMADA designed Eco City as a plotted township so that families could build independent homes in a planned layout next to Chandigarh. This page gathers what is publicly known about the residential plots and how they are allotted.
Published listings for Eco City-1 give these sizes and block references:
These are broker-published details, not a verified live inventory. Confirm the plot number, dimensions and land use with GMADA documents.
In fresh schemes GMADA allots residential plots through a public draw. Applicants pay an earnest money deposit with the form; unsuccessful applicants get it refunded. Successful applicants receive a letter of intent and pay the balance as per the schedule. The same approach is reported for the proposed Eco City-2 Extension and Eco City-3. Read how booking works.
Every GMADA plot has a unique identity made of the scheme, sector, block and plot number. The approved layout plan shows its shape, dimensions, road widths and what surrounds it, such as parks or commercial sites. Ask for the layout extract for the plot you are considering and compare it with what you see on the ground. Differences in dimensions, a missing road or an encroachment should be resolved before you pay.
GMADA's building bye-laws control ground coverage, number of floors, height, setbacks and parking for each plot size. Get your architect to check them before you finalise a plot, especially for smaller sizes where coverage rules shape the whole design. See vastu planning for layout tips.
