"What is the booking amount?" is one of the first questions buyers ask. In Eco City Township the answer depends on whether you are buying resale or applying in a GMADA scheme.

Resale: token money

• There is no fixed GMADA booking amount for resale; the token is agreed between buyer and seller
• Keep it modest until documents and dues are verified
• The agreement to sell should state the token, balance payments and refund terms
• Pay the balance in stages linked to clear milestones such as dues clearance and transfer approval

GMADA scheme: earnest money

• New schemes ask for an earnest money deposit with the application, as stated in the brochure
• Unsuccessful applicants are normally refunded
• Successful applicants pay further amounts per the allotment schedule
• The exact percentages and dates are set in each scheme's brochure

Refund terms in resale agreements
