Mullanpur is the heart of New Chandigarh, and plots are its main product. Unlike Chandigarh, where land is scarce and new plots almost never come up, Mullanpur has a planned plotted township in Eco City Township, plus private colonies and projects around it. Eco City plot sizes

Eco City-1 listings show residential plots of 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 sq. yd. Eco City-2 websites advertise sizes up to 2,000 sq. yd., and the Eco City-2 Extension proposal includes one-kanal and two-kanal plots. Eco City-1 resale asks have been listed from about ₹2 crore for 150 sq. yd. to ₹7.5 crore for 500 sq. yd. Private-project plots and village land are priced differently, so do not compare per-sq.-yd. rates across these categories without adjusting for approvals and services.
